There is a moment that happens on every Secrets of Northern Spain journey. It usually takes place just before dinner. The streets are quieter. The day-trippers have gone home. The shopkeepers are closing their doors. And Northern Spain starts to belong to the locals again. This photograph was taken in the heart of Vitoria-Gasteiz, my hometown and the capital of the Basque Country. Most visitors to Spain have never heard of it. That's precisely why I love bringing people here.
