Let me introduce myself, my name is Maria Del Carmen Cabello San Agustin, born and raised in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
I have called Melbourne home for over 20 years now, but I'd like to take you back to my home town, Vitoria Gasteiz, and show you the Secrets of Northern Spain.
I combine my passion for food, travel and culture to bring you unique local experiences on my curated tour of the Basque Country.

Welcome to Secrets of Northern Spain, our exclusive and intimate tours.
Day 1 Vitoria-Gasteiz
Arrive at the capital of The Basque Country, Vitoria-Gasteiz and get yourself settled in our private 18th. Century stunning accommodation, a home away from home. Meet your local guide and enjoy dinner with all the most popular dishes of the area, a truly gourmet experience
Day 2 .Vitoria-Gasteiz
Venture on a tour from Medieval to present time, we will walk a section of the "Camino de Santiago" that crosses the heart of Vitoria. Our local guide, Mr. Delgado will provide us with an authentic tour. We will be covering an approximate 6 kms in distance. This walk is an interesting way of discover the Camino and relatively flat. After a beautiful lunch al fresco to replenish ourselves, we'll be experiencing a private visit to one of the most iconic temples in Northern Spain, Catedral de Santa Maria, before heading back to our Casa to prepare ourselves for a beautiful dinner in one of many memorable, prestigious restaurants in the city.
Day 3 Rioja Valley
Today we'll take a day trip to Rioja Valley. Visit an iconic Winery, Marques de Riscal ,where we will enjoy a wine tasting session. Immerse yourself into the beauty of the Medieval town La Guardia, always with our local guide, absorb the history and traditions of one the best and most beautiful villages in the world. Our private shuttle will take us back to our casa before heading out again to enjoy the delicacies of one of the most famous restaurants in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Day 4 Bilbao
We'll be heading to the Basque Coast and be immersing ourselves into the stunning town of Bilbao. Our local guides will be travelling with us from our accommodation. Morning tour to the most iconic places in Bilbao Old Quarter, stopping to taste local pintxos and wine. A must visit will be the Guggenheim Museum before returning to Vitoria, to sample another authentic Northern Spain Gourmet dinner. I couldn't think of a better way to finish the day!
Day 5 Donostia-San Sebastian
Today we'll be taking a day trip to the resort town in Spain's mountainous Basque Country.
Private Tour with our local Guides while tasting pintxos at the second most Michelin stars city per capita in the world,behind only Kyoto. A couple of options here, I should say surprises, in terms of dinner, I'll reveal in the near future. Back in our private shuttle to our Casa, sweet dreams!
Day 6 Vitoria-Gasteiz
Sadly, today's marks your last day in this incredible city but we'll make sure that you're coming back in the near future!
After a full breakfast we will be heading to the Market, where we will be sampling the local produce. Followed by a private tour to the Open air museum, The murals tour, followed by Menu del Dia to replenish our mind and soul. Free afternoon to probably get a pair or two of a beautiful handmade leather shoes made in Spain. Our group will have the last supper, a memorable one, before wishing you all the best for the rest of your holidays.
